Using dance, song, expressive physicality and the spoken word, the girls share their experiences of childhood, the pressures and rewards of growing into young womanhood, relationships with their mothers, hopes and dreams, love and the search for meaning and happiness. They explore where they come from – Remuera, Greenlane, south Auckland, Vietnam – celebrating the cultural diversity of Aotearoa/New Zealand and how geography has shaped their sense of who they are…. |
