After a year of Otago and Southland anniversary celebrations, the writers decided to provide their own spin on it, with a deliberately 'am-dram' pros arch piece that flogs regional pride for all it is worth, including integrated extracts for golddiggers' diaries along with bagpipes, a Central Otago setting during the goldrush, token Maori and Chinese characters and a parochial spirit. |
