					| Description |
The central theme is the fragmentation of the female psyche not only as a consequence of the physical act of rape but more fundamentally because of the social conditions which women are obliged to endure. Even to attempt re-integration through therapy is seen as a false hope becasue that process is no more than one that tries to re-impose more forcefully those original, patriarchally-based, conditions. The form of the play reflects the idea of fragmentation and disintegration by using a technique that resembles montage. |
