A large dinner party with entertainment given to J.B. Montefiore, Esq at the Shakespeare Tavern, as a testimony of gratitude and respect for his eminient services to the Colony since its first institution. Dinner entertainment included performance by a band and itemised musical presentations including: "Non nobis Domine" sung by the band, a song "Cossacks dieu" sung by Mr Ewens, a song "Happy Land" sung by Mr Shayl and glees "When Arthur First" and "Glorious Apollo". |
