| Description |
A strawberry fete was an annual event at the institute hall, usually held at the end of the year when the fruit was in full season. Strawberries and ice cream were sold to raise funds for the institute, with music for dancing provided by local musicians. In 1926, a competition was held in which the King of Sports was crowned King of Hoyleton, along with the stalls and the strawberry and ice cream sales. |
