Description Too High the Son is inspired by the life of pioneer aviator Richard Pearse who flew for the first time in 1903 from his isolated farm in Otago, New Zealand. Rumor has is that Pearse arrived ahead of the Wright brothers in the conquest of the skies. Irrefutably a self-taught genius, his work was ignored by his rural community, preoccupied with the demands of daily life in a colonial society.
