Inspired by the qi qiao ban, the ancient Chinese game of Tangram, Seven Boards of Tricks is impeccable fun and amusing to adults and kids alike. Fourteen performers move seven huge puzzle blocks - five triangles of three different sizes, one square and one parallelogram - around the stage in a fantastic choreography of body and object. Out of this shifting geometry, visual puns form: growing mountains, rocking houses, sliding tectonic plats, and way more space. |
