Most members of the Thai Classical Dance Troupe are graduates of the Bangkok College of Dramatic Arts, a well known educational institution established in 1943. Their duties are to study, preserve, develop, promote and continue classical Thai performing arts such as the masked play (khon), the dance drama (lakhon), the folk dance and traditional music.. This performance Includes Dance of the Celestial Beings, Nail Dance (or Candle Dance), The Abduction of Sita (a Masked Play from the Ramayana, Dance of the Nine Gems, Ram Sat Chatri, Lopburi Dance, Dance of the Farmers and Drum Dance. |
