| Description | Our Opera in Schools tour this year is Donizetti’s Don Pasquale.
Donald Pasquale, a wealthy man, wants his nephew and sole heir, Ernesto, to marry a woman of his choosing. Ernesto refuses as he declares he is already in love with another – the beautiful Norina. However, Pasquale believes that Norina is only interested in Ernesto for the money he will inherit, and teams up with his friend Malatesta to scheme them both out of a future with his money. Luckily for the two love birds Malatesta believes in their young love. He decides to double-cross Pasquale and comes up with another plan to h |
