Description "Day to Day" was inspired and informed by the stories a group of white collar workers employed by the State and Commonwealth public service. Set in a fictitious Department of Social Services, "Day to Day" starts with what appears to be a comic representation of the everyday lives of office workers and moves on to explore what lies beneath the banal exterior. The office becomes a powerful social metaphor for the organisation of appearances and the suppression of desire in an advanced urban society.
