Description |
Bell Shakespeare tour 1998. "Henry Bolingbroke has deposed his cousin, Richard II. Richard is murdered in prison and Bolingbroke is crowned Henry IV. The script for this production is a compilation of scenes from Shakespeare's two great history plays, Henry IV Parts I and II. In this version I want to concentrate on Prince Hal's evolution from teenage brat to national hero and the tortured conflict between himself, his natural father, the King, and his surrogate father, Falstaff". John Bell |
