Description |
The play depicts Fanny Burney, the eighteenth century novelist, diarist and playwright. In his Director's Notes, Ken Campbell-Dobbie states that the production was "designed as a portrait that reflects the age of portraiture. Encases in the conventional framework of a Reynolds or Gainsborough portrait, Fanny Burney remains true to herself, maintaining a subtle individuality which defies the forms of her time". |
