Description |
Jessie, deserted by her husband and her delinquent son, lives with her mother Thelma in a comfortable unpretentious home. This could be any family anywhere - except tonight, Jessie plans to kill herself. This intricate, poetic play, winner of the Pulitzer Prize in 1983, examines the limited lives and expectations of two women as they seek to define the inherent worth of human life. |
