| Description |
"Poisoning is a female domain. It is veiled and mysterious - hard to hold. Kay Armstrong's new solo work The Narrow House, was a mediation of all that is evil in the familiar. In a combination of movement and text, it explored the secret domain of the female poisoner, inspired by an account of a serial murderess in the 1950s who killed her victims (often her husbands) with cups of poisoned tea. She cajoles - she bakes - she offers tea and sympathy?. But can we really trust those who feed us?" |
