Description The play is based on the last years of Norwegian novelist, Knut Hamsun and particulartly concerned in the phenomenon of old age. This is the 'Ice Age', the cold inaccessible reaches of "anno domini", beyond attack, punishment or retribution, indifferent to self-preservation but cunningly and obstinately sticking on to life.
