The show is part one of a trilogy of Glass operas the other two paid tribute to Mahatma Gandhi for his political genius , and the man of religion , Egyptian Pharaoh Akhnaten. The opera looks at every aspet of Einstien, from scientist to humanist, amateur musician and ultimately the man whose theories led to the splitting of the atom.The opera goes for four hours without a break and is a major commitment for the dancers and the singers, who we integrate together at times, and the six member music ensemble. |
