Bernard Farrell, winner of the Rooney Prize for Irish literature, weaves a story that brings laughter and longing in equal measure.
Stephen Sullivan (James Hagan) has died suddenly, leaving behind his old shop that has an uncertain future and three women who must now confront life without him. His widow Clara (Judith McGrath) always suspected that Stephen had a hidden life and now faces the truth. His daughter Isobel (Lisa Bailey) is determined to use this opportunity to move up the social ladder and start a new life. |
