There is much to startle in this play, a crazy combination of tragi-comic events, first drawn from reality journalism, finally becoming a gruesome product of reality TV...Lyle and Danny were abandoned in a chicken coop at the ages of 10 and 12, and by the time they were rescued months later had suffered psychological damage, including identification with their fellow inmates, the chooks. |
