| Description |
"Rosie" is inspired by the life of Rosie Shaw (1905-1971), the free spirited cockney girl who dreamed of becoming a great singer like Melba, a great dancer like Pavlova. Instead she became a flower seller in Martin Place and serenaded her customers and passers-by for forty years. Brash and indomitable Rosie, dreamer of impossible dreams, was a Sydney legend. |
