Description |
Set in Ancient Rome, the story follows playwright Titus Maccius Plautus who has to convince his producer, Crassus Dives that his new play will be a hit and not offend the Roman Censor. Trouble is the play hasn't yet been written, but Plautus is not about to tell Crassus that. So, he acts it out before the cynical producer, and makes it up as he goes along. In so doing he plays all the males roles as well as some of the female ones ? 10 characters in all!! He does have a little help from his Greek wife, ex-dancer and seductress extraordinaire, Cleostrata, who plays five characters! Drew Forsy |
