Description |
The second in a series of locally written plays. "The Ladder" is based on an actual incident which the author witnessed. In the play Mark Berriman focuses on the exchanges between two university professors and a sign writer. Perched atop a ladder, the sign writer observes and becomes involved with two academics on the ground - indulging in shaky logic and showy verbal acrobatics. There is an ironic contrast between the two academics, proud not to be "practitioners" and the man who at least paints a sign. |
