The Australian Ballet revisits the traditional charms of the classic Giselle. Girl meet boy. Girl gets boy. Girl loses boy, dies of broken heart and joins a band of vengeful ghosts. This is one of the real showpieces of classical ballet: steeped in history, extravagantly staged, and full of demanding traditional ballet dancing. |
