| Description |
"Its author says that "The Ring of Truth" is not an artificial comedy. He explains that it is based on a real-life incident which had 'less dire results' than those which occur in his play only because the police investigation was stopped before it got very far. Although it is a comedy, a serious thread runs through the play - the rather frightening suggestion that almost anybody could quite easily find themselves in the unhappy predicament into which the two central characters innocently manoeuvre themselves." |
