Description |
Eliza Dolittle, a cockney woman who dreams of opening her own flower shop instead of selling them on a street corner, is taken under the wing of Professor Higgins. He promises to teach her to talk properly and help her become a lady. After months of hard work she is ready for the big experiment; an embassy ball, where she succeeds. Praise is given to Higgins while Eliza is ignored. She leaves in frustration. When Higgins awakens next morning he finds her gone. He goes to his mother's where Eliza has taken refuge.
