Description |
This tribe is a motley collection of six socially-challenged philologically-industrious twelve-year olds battling it out for glory: to be the sole survivor in their local spelling competition.
There's William Barfee who always spells with his foot first; Logainne Schwartzandgrubenierre, burdened with a lisp and a surname made up from joining both her gay dads' names together; Olive Ostrovsky who, neglected by her parents, has turned to the dictionary for solace; Chip Tolentino, the reigning Putnam champ; and finally there is nervous Leaf Coneybeat, chronic blusher. |
