Description | A performance which explored 'dangerous' places - outer space, up in the air and underwater - using dynamic physical images to tell tales of female pirates, skydivers, astronauts and angels. This performance was presented as part of a two day program of performances, forums and workshops.
At the inception of the Women's Circus in 1991, women who were survivors of sexual assault were first invited to become members of the circus. Membership was then extended to the wider community, with a huge response from women of all ages and backgrounds. See also: Women's Circus workshop, Women in Community. |
