Two events occurring during the 1998 Marrickville Carnivale. One event 'Five Rooms' occurred in the Sidetrack Studio Theatre. It consisted of reconstructions of 5 rooms belonging to elderly Marrickville residents and represented the "house of Marrickville. A Lebanese room, Turkish room, Vietnamese room, Greek room, Portuguese room. Each room included a sound and video or slide projection. The other event 'The Widows' occurred as a site-specific performance, during shopping hours, around Marrickville Metro shopping centre and Marrickville Road |
