Description In October 1991 a series of events in Mount Druitt, an 'outer western' Sydney suburb, which would have been normally dismissed as a kids' fight attracted media attention from Sydney's main stream press. The event became known as the 'Bidwill Riots'. The Mt. Druitt post code became an instant media delight. The adverse publicity caused the local community to feel unfairly represented and maligned. Sidetrack was invited to work with local young people to create a work of theatre to help improve the community's self esteem.
