Pan is the story of a boy whose childhood consisted of a warm-hearted but subservient mother, a dominant and abusive father and a world of imagination. When met by a young angel who thought she was doing the right thing, Peter learnt how to escape from the harsh world of his family by creating blockages and distractions from his imagination. First by creating someone who would protect him, then by creating a world he could escape to and finally by creating a new person who would live his life for him.
