| Description | In line with one of the play's great themes of youth rebellion, Mark Nicholls has assembled a dynamic, young cast who play what Mark describes as "a collective psychosis which makes the Texas Chainsaw Massacre look like a picnic." He has steeped the production in iconography from the Minoan civilization and Paul Batey's choreography displays not only a vital flow of energy, pulling the drama along, but an exotic treasury of narrative and dramatic comment. Crispin Theatre's new production of King Lear is thus a fusion of the arts, representing the primitive beginnings of the theatre. | |||||||||||||||||||
