| Description |
The Antipodes is a comedy by Richard Brome, written in 1636. This site-specific performance is set in the 1950s and explores the story of Peregrine, a young man addicted to and maddened by an obsession with travel. Through the machinations of Lord Letoy, he is drugged and believes he has travelled to the Antipodes - in this production, Australia circa 1789, performed by an in-house acting company and a 'doctor', all employed by Letoy. He crowns himself king and through his explorations is cured by this early form of drama therapy. |
