Description "The play takes place in the comfortable, spacious home of the Jennings family, on the outskirts of an Australian city. Although written during the mid 1980s Family Room holds a remarkable significance to the current world climate. It explores societies own fear of social chaos, terrorism and war, twisting the serenity of the family home into a fall-out shelter from the insane world outside. While the play is exploring themes of terrorism and war, it also targets society's own shortcomings on the home front, with a critical examination of our dysfunctional family relationships."
