Description |
The University of Wollongong?s Faculty of Creative Arts is proud to present its first theatrical performance for the 2008 season, Cheese and Salomé Sandwich, a contemporary reworking of Oscar Wilde?s acclaimed play, Salomé.
Inspired by the infamous Biblical story of Salomé, stepdaughter to King Herod, and daughter of Herodias, the play follows the story of Herod who desires Salomé to dance for him. He?ll give her anything she wants if she grants him this one wish. To Herod?s dismay and her mother?s delight, Salomé?s price is delivered on a silver platter with a side serving of murder.
