Description |
Inspired partly by Georg Büchner's play Woyzeck and Martin Scorsese's film Taxi Driver, Simon Stephens wrote Motortown over four feverish days during the London bombings of 2005. Simon Stephens writes: "This is a play about England at war. It is a play about the fallout of the war on terror. It is also a play about the fallout of the war in Iraq. An acclaimed and explosive response to the anti-war movement and to war itself." |
