| Description |
An intimate portrait of a great Australian statesman. On 9 June 1951 at his modest home in Bathurst, Ben Chifley prepares a speech he will deliver the following day at the Labor Party conference. It's a difficult time. Two months earlier the Labour Party was defeated in the election. His political legacy appears to be in ruins, and his health is failing. |
