Description Spinning Straw is a wild ride, both comic and heart-breaking. Annie is 18 and prefers to be called Pig. She's from a dysfunctional background and is a chronic binge drinker and 'pill popper' and who cares if she is pregnant? Her first child was taken into foster care but she is not letting an annoying little pregnancy interfere with her crazed lifestyle. Her neighbour, Margaret, herself a recovering alcoholic, tries to reform Pig and protect her unborn baby but there is little hope. Pig plans to sell the baby to the highest bidder on the Internet.
