The central idea of One Cloud was to explore the universal themes of an individual?s struggle to find a sense of self and place, via a fictional narrative inspired by the murder of Janelle Patton on Norfolk Island on Easter Sunday 2002. The story of Janelle?s life and death on this secluded little island shone a spotlight on a hidden world of small, patriarchal, closed communities.
