Description |
The Little Mermaid, one of the most loved of Hans Christian Andersen's stories, becomes an enchanting ballet under the deft hand of choreographer François Klaus. Determined to pursue her love, the Little Mermaid makes a bargain with the Sea Witch and forsakes her home beneath the waves to follow her Prince onto the shore. But her bargain comes at a heavy price. More than a simple fairy tale, this charming and poignant work explores the nature of longing, how making choices may have lasting consequences, and how goodness can be rewarded in unexpected ways.
