Description "John Aubrey's (1626-1697) "Lives" are among the most brilliant of seventeenth century memoirs. Less than a fortnight ago Roy Dotrice offered to perform his acclaimed Brief Lives in Adelaide free. Encouraged by Wilf Prest, Lecturer in History, the Theatre Guild accepted the challenge of mounting the production, and thus this is the Australian premiere."
