Description |
It is 1946 and the Royal Agricultural Show is back after six years of war. From far and wide, country and city, Australians gather to celebrate peace and the promise of the future. Everybody is there: lieutenant governors, animals, con men, roustabouts and aunties, children lost and found, dupes, royalty, parents, sheep, merry-go-rounds, ferris wheels and magicians, giants, fairy floss, bitter battles in the CWA tea rooms and lovers. |
