Description FOUR police inspectors submitted independent reports yesterday upon the play, "Desire Brings Welcome," which was specially presented for them at the Majestic Theatre, Newtown. Their reports, on which a decision to ban may depend, will reach the Metropolitan Superintendent today, and will later be forwarded to the Chief Secretary (Mr. Chaffey). The police visited the Majestic Theatre under instruction from Mr. Chaffey, to whom the play's author, Mr. Kenneth Brodziak, had submitted the script: Mr. Chaffey requested a private presentation, at which the police would be present. Provided no objection is taken by the authorities, Mr. Brodziak and Zenith Productions propose to present "Desire Brings Welcome" for a limited season in Sydney. Mr. Warren Munsell, son of the chairman of the New York Theatre Guild, has been engaged to produce the play, and choose a professional cast. Yesterday afternoon he had to stage a very hurried performance.
