Description Alistair Beaton's hilarious play is set on the eve of the British Labour Prime Minister's speech to the party faithful at its annual conference. As anti-capitalist riots rage in the street below, sinister and obsessive press secretary Eddie and his young speech-writing sidekick Paul are frantically working to craft some inspirational words for their leader. Things turn desperate, however, when a scandal involving one of the PM's oldest friends threatens to explode and an investigative journalist hot on the scent of a scoop beings sniffing around.
