In a letter to the editor (Coolgardie Miner, 8 May 1897) Lucifer explained that he had unthinkingly agreed to appear at the Cremorne as a favour to proprietor Mr Fein; "If I had not already agreed with Mr. Fein to show, now that I see the other side, I would absolutely refuse to appear." | |||||||
