For the past few years van Beek has been investigating ?tracing? as a method for creating work and investigating form. This process is inspired by the art of John Wolseley and his concern for mapping and tracing movements of, and within, the Australian landscape. The Secret Life of Objects, researched through Punctum, is the third project within van Beeks ?Tracing? series.
