Present Laughter is a delightful comedy by Noel Coward which has achieved tremendous success both in England and in a lengthy tour of Australian capital cities. The play, which was first produced at the Haymarket Theatre, London, on 16th April, 1947, with the author in the central role of Garry Essendine, tells the story, or rather the climax to the shortcomings of this popular West End comedian. |
