| Abstract/Description |
"Young Wives' Tale", by Ronald Jeans, the Repertory Society's current production, like the second play in the series ("The Man from the Ministry"), draws its inspiration from England's post-war housing shortage, but, unlike the previous playwright, Mr Jeans makes no attempt to solve the unsolvable, and leaves his characters at the final curtain little wiser for their experiences. ... Hard Task - It is no secret that Repertory is having a hard time getting a satisfactory reservoir of men players, so producer Margaret Hall, whose first production this is, faced the additional task of breaking in three novices in the main roles. |
