"The Roaring Days", the new musical based on the discover and development of Broken Hill, will have its premier at the Repertory Playhouse on October 13. - Written by John Pickup, with music by Roy Mitchell, "The Roaring Days" promises to provide entertainment for all who are interested in the early days of Silverton and Broken Hill. - The play is expected to be a successful climax to the Broken Hill Repertory Society's 1964 season, the first held entirely at the Playhouse. - Repertory Chairman, Mr R.F. Cawdle, said today that a 12 night season was planned to cover the anticipated demand for seats. [Includes a summary of story and songs, a portrait of John Pickup, and the cast list.] |
