| Abstract/Description |
Passion takes up the theme of SACRIFICE that plays through all the work of The Sydney Front, leading its audience into a re-enactment of the Stations of the Cross.
The Sydney Front tackles narrative.
The performers become stage managers as the audience performs scenes from the life of Christ.
It begins with the ANNUNCIATION.
A small girl descends the stairs into the performance space and gives the audience their first task. Following instructions delivered by invisible means, the audience members take up their prescribed gospel roles.
But maybe SALVATION is possible. A COMMUNION is offered. |
