Beggar on Horseback, a Clever Play |
| Abstract/Description |
"Beggar on Horseback," by George S. Kaufman and Marc Connelly, is a remarkably clever play. It is also a difficult play to produce, for it embodies frequent and rapid changes of scene. The surprising thing about last night's presentation at the Savoy Theatre was, not that it fell below perfection, but that it reached as high a standard as it did. Miss May Hollinworth has already given evidence of resourcefulness and imagination as producer for amateurs, and her "Leonardo" group carries on this precedent.
