| Abstract/Description |
I was the sole founder of the Playbox Theatre (in 1923, not 1924), and Mr. Don Flnley, who assisted with the scenic arrangements for the first production, was no more a founder than 20 other people who assisted. Mr. Finley, after the flrst production, was not Invited to have any thing further to do in the Playbox, directly or indirectly. Therefore, seeing that I was the sole proprietor during the eight years' existence of that theatre, you are astray when you state that only 'during the more recent years Mr. Macdougall was the solo owner.' I had already founded like theatres In other countries. |
